Heartbreak in Los Angeles

I am a Sun Devil. And I'm proud to say that this weekend, I made the six hour drive from Tempe, Ariz. to my home town, Los Angeles, Calif. to see my Sun Devils play.
Oh it was great to be home. But walking through my familiar territory and seeing my fellow Sun Devils-- now that was fantastic. As we walked through USC's campus on game day, groups of gold-shirted fans chanted for the pride of the desert, making their presence known in the sea of Trojan faithful.
Now I understand that coming into this game, ASU wasn't necessarily favored (to put it nicely), but I refused to conform to the dominating opinion that we didn't have a chance.
A loss? That I can understand. But a complete shutout? The inability to put a single point on the Coliseum's scoreboard? That was a little hard to handle.
